1949 Hudson Commodore 8 Coupe
Revolutionary design of Hudson Step-down architecture. Unsurpassed style and build quality for the time. Legends on the race track.
Stored for many years, this vintage custom deserves to be put back on the road.
A large collection of proper nos chrome parts, used stainless trim, glass, manuals and memorabilia are all included with this auction. I have also assembled a few hard to find used body panels (you never know when you might need them) including both side front fenders, lower front fender panels, rear quarter panels and an extra hood that will go with car.
The car now has a non operational, but free spinning 262 inline 6 cylinder engine in it. The interior has an amazing vintage vibe. A
solid project car for sure. The bones are there for something special with this one.
So many options. Just get this Commodore running and out on the road as is… Make it 100% stock, a full blown custom or maybe a little of both like the Icon Derelict 49 Hudson Coupe.

Local pickup is recommended. I will not be crating things such as the extra fenders, quarter panels or hood. You’ll have to figure out how to get that stuff to your location.

To answer a few questions:
Both seats fold forward to allow rear seat access. Both rear windows also roll down.
A previous owner had stripped the hood and trunk paint. When flash rust began they were spray painted bright yellow. The very solid brown hood on the car now was acquired. The yellow hood is included in the sale. The yellow paint was removed from the trunk lid. It is now bare began coated with Everbrite. Very solid metal.
The car had a 6 volt battery in it when found. The included electrical components appear to be original 6 volts pieces as well. I do not believe it has been converted to 12V.
