vintage bamboo and paper parasol 42" diam flowers and birds

Description

This beautiful bamboo parasol is probably from the 1950s and is probably from Japan, although it isn’t marked.  It is large, measuring 42″ in diameter when opened.  The paper has aged to a mellow tan color but the colors of the design are still quite bright.  It still has the cord that keeps the parasol from opening and still has its fabric loop at the end.  When closed the bamboo has a burgundy high gloss varnish finish.
